Former New York Jets ' wide receiver Denzel Mims has been released by an NFL team for the second time in two months. After the Pittsburgh Steelers gave up on the 26-year-old Mims this past June, the Jacksonville Jaguars sent the former second-round draft pick packing. Mims has only one seven-yard reception to show for his three preseason appearances this summer. Mims, the No. 59 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft, has not played in a regular season game since 2022 with the Jets. He logged 30 appearances for the Green & White over a three-year span (2020-22), totaling 676 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
