Lions head coach Rick Campbell believes Nathan Rourke is just getting rolling since returning from the NFL last month. Rourke will make his fourth consecutive start when the Lions (6-6) visit the league-leading Montreal Alouettes (10-1) at Molson Stadium on Friday night. After a couple rough outings, the Canadian quarterback bounced back last week by going 21-for-30 for 325 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception in a 38-12 win over the Ottawa Redblacks in his hometown of Victoria.

8/17/24 Lions look to snap three-game losing skid vs Bombers with return of QB Nathan Rourke. Quarterback Nathan Rourke will pick up his CFL career where it left off when the BC Lions host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers Sunday afternoon. “I guess it's a bit of a coincidence,” Rourke, winner of the CFL's Most Outstanding Canadian award in 2022, said after a practice this week. Rourke's return has sparked excitement for BC fans and comes just as the team is trying to steer itself out of a dangerous skid. After starting the season 5-1, the Lions have lost three straight games, including an embarrassing 25-0 pasting at the hands of the Bombers (3-6) earlier this month.

5/11/24 What Do New York Giants' New Veteran Signings Mean for Quarterback, Receiver Units?. Not necessarily, according to New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll, who spoke about the team's two newest veteran acquisitions, quarterback Nathan Rourke and wide receiver Allen Robinson II, before the team ran the second and final practice of its rookie minicamp. Daboll denied that the additions of Rourke and Robinson had anything to do with quarterback Daniel Jones or receiver Darius Slayton, two players whose statuses have been widely thought to be on less than solid footing for the long term.

5/07/24 Patriots mailbag: Some draft leftovers and the Brady roast are on the menu. My guess is, even in the wake of Monday's decision to cut Nathan Rourke, Milton ends up catching the Foxborough Flu and lands on injured reserve for 2024. 2/06/24 One way or the other, Patriots must address the quarterback position this offseason. It wasn't all his fault; at least part of his problems can be pinned on having three different offensive coordinators in his first three years, as well as a ragged and ineffective offensive line in 2023. While the possibility exists that some combination of Jones, Zappe, and Nathan Rourke will be on the roster when training camp rolls around in July, with the Patriots armed with the third overall pick and projected to have a ton of salary cap space, it would seem unlikely. After botching the dismount from Tom Brady, the Patriots would appear to have their first real opportunity to hit the reset button at the position.
