10/05/24 Raiders' Nameless Offense Could be Just What the Doctor Ordered. The lack of a superstar on offense forced the Las Vegas Raiders to get creative and mix up their offensive playcalling. Last week against the Cleveland Browns, the Raiders targeted seven different receivers through the air and had eight different player run the ball. Raiders offensive coordinator Luke Getsy said spreading the ball around to as many different players as possible, to keep players fresh and the defense guessing. Getsy believes the offense is starting to put the pieces together and that the unit has gradually grown over the first four weeks of the season.

10/05/24 Are the Browns as bad as their 1-3 record says?: By the numbers. CLEVELAND, Ohio — The high expectations built ahead of the 2024 season have yet to be met by the Browns . The somber tone regarding this team ahead of Week 5, was set during their blowout loss to Dallas in Week 1. Not so much the loss as it was the fashion in how they performed. Though they'd bounce back with a win in Week 2, they've lost consecutive one-possession games to teams they were favored to defeat. Thirty-four teams have made the playoffs after starting 1-3, dating back to the 1990 NFL season, but it'll take a lot more to turn things around. 9/30/24 Browns' Deshaun Watson sounds off on sideline incident vs. Raiders. Expressing those frustrations in a public and emphatic manner is not typically a good idea, though. The Cleveland Browns do not need any additional bad optics after a rough start to the season. Following Sunday's crushing 20-16 road loss to the Las Vegas Raiders (2-2), quarterback Deshaun Watson was asked to answer questions beyond just those that concerned the scoreboard or the team's performance. The three-time Pro Bowler, who was 24-of-32 passing for 176 yards with one touchdown and one interception, addressed the heated sideline exchange that he and backup QB Jameis Winston had with right tackle Dawand Jones.

9/30/24 Deshaun Watson says he deserves blame after Browns drop to 1-3. For the second straight week, the Cleveland Browns had multiple opportunities in the fourth quarter to rally for a win, but fell short. Quarterback Deshaun Watson said to put the blame on him after Cleveland blew an early 10-0 lead and lost 20-16 to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. “If I'm gonna be the quarterback of this offense, we all got to be all the way locked in,” said Watson, who finished 24 of 32 for 176 yards with a touchdown and interception. While Watson's 75% completion rate and 84.9 rating were both season highs, the Browns (1-3) could not take advantage of a Raiders team that was missing star players Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby.
