10/03/24 Inside the Bills: Curtis Samuel has started slowly, but he's not worried – and he might heat up soon. Facebook Twitter WhatsApp SMS Email Print Copy article link Save Through four games, Curtis Samuel has been a bit player in the Buffalo Bills' offense. Not that the veteran wide receiver is complaining about it. Far from it, in fact. “I'm a team-first guy,” Samuel said Wednesday. “If the ball does touch my hands, I try to make a play every time, but there is only one football. Sometimes the best guys in the league don't get that many targets. It is what it is. I don't let that get to me. I come out here this week and get ready to play.” Bills wide receiver Curtis Samuel has just eight catches through the first four games of the season. 8/09/24 Bills QB Josh Allen gives an honest answer when asked if he misses Stefon Diggs. En route to four playoff appearances and four Pro Bowl honors, Diggs averaged 111 catches for 1,343 yards and 9.25 touchdowns over 17 games per year. It's also an incredible amount of production Buffalo must replace if it hopes to remain an AFC contender. While the Bills added in receivers like Curtis Samuel and Florida State's Keon Coleman, Allen must find a way to survive a season without Mr. Consistency in Orchard Park.

7/22/24 Where do Bills rank on pre-training camp NFL power rankings?. It's perhaps a bit premature to rank each NFL team based on their quality entering the 2024 season, as each club, at this juncture, is a ball of clay. Replacements were brought in like veterans Curtis Samuel and Marquez Valdes-Scantling and rookie Keon Coleman, but while offensive coordinator Joe Brady admitted this new group may not have experience together and lacks a true No. 1 wideout, he's confident that quarterback Josh Allen can elevate his new pass-catchers.

7/17/24 Unleashing Curtis Samuel is 1 of 10 keys to Buffalo Bills Super Bowl run. Curtis Samuel is the definition of a Swiss-army knife on the football field. The 27-year-old can line up inside or outside at wide receiver. The Buffalo Bills did not have much cap space this offseason, but general manager Brandon Beane did not hesitate to sign the receiver to a three-year, $24 million contract. In his final draft with the Carolina Panthers, Beane selected Samuel in the second round.

7/11/24 Versatile WR to do 'a little bit of everything' in Bills' offense. Curtis Samuel has been far from a bad player throughout his professional career, but he perhaps hasn't reached the heights initially projected for him as a second-round draft pick. Praised for his speed and versatility coming out of Ohio State, Samuel has been little more than an occasionally productive complementary piece throughout his seven-year NFL stint. The only offensive coordinator who was able to truly tap into Samuel's potential was Joe Brady, who called Carolina's offense in the 2020 NFL season.

7/04/24 Explaining why new Buffalo Bills' WR is ideal fantasy football sleeper pick. All three figure to play important roles in the Josh Allen-led offense, but none carry as much fantasy football value as free-agent addition Curtis Samuel. Let me explain why I believe Samuel is a potentially highly-rewarding sleeper pick that seems certain to significantly outperform his average draft position, which should wind up somewhere in the late rounds. It's all based on the idea that the table is set for the soon-to-be 28-year-old Samuel to produce a career year in 2024.

6/16/24 NFL writer believes this WR will have career comeback with Bills. Sports fans love a comeback story. Chris Trapasso of CBS Sports believes that wide receiver Curtis Samuel, who signed a three-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 offseason, will make a career comeback during his first season in Western New York. Samuel hasn't necessarily been a bust since he arrived in the NFL, but he has underwhelmed. Since being drafted by the Carolina Panthers in 2017, he has 4,098 total yards and 29 total touchdowns.

5/28/24 Bills OC gives glowing endorsement of new WR: 'He's extremely bright'. Curtis Samuel opted to link with a familiar face in the 2024 NFL offseason, signing a three-year deal with the Buffalo Bills to reunite with offensive coordinator Joe Brady. The play-caller and wideout have a pre-established rapport, as Brady worked with Samuel as offensive coordinator of the Carolina Panthers in 2020; the receiver set new career highs in receiving and scrimmage yards that season, notching 851 and 1,051, respectively. Related: What is the Bills' biggest roster strength entering minicamp? The two haven't worked with each other since; Samuel departed Carolina after the 2020 season while Brady was fired midway through the 2021 season.

5/20/24 Where Bills WR Curtis Samuel ranks among NFL's fastest players. Few players in the NFL are entering a more advantageous situation than wide receiver Curtis Samuel. The 27-year-old, who inked a three-year deal with the Buffalo Bills in the 2024 NFL offseason, has long been viewed as one of the more talented, yet untapped weapons in the league—his ability is undeniable, but he, for a medley of reasons, simply hasn't found himself in situations that breed consistent production. Whether it be poor quarterback play, mismanaged offenses, or a combination of the two, opportune circumstances have not been oft-afforded to Samuel throughout his seven-year career. This seems primed to change in the 2024 campaign, as he's set to link up with the best quarterback he's ever played with in a prime Josh Allen.

5/19/24 Underrated Bills WR named a potential breakout candidate. The team did sign free agents Curtis Samuel, Mack Hollins, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling and selected Florida State pass-catcher Keon Coleman in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, but these players will be tasked with replacing the production vacated by Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis, who both departed in the spring after finishing first and second in receiving yards, respectively, for the Bills in each of the past two seasons. There are justifiable concerns that one could have about Buffalo's pass-catching unit, but the relative subtly of its moves compared to its subtractions would suggest confidence in the options already on its roster; one such option is third-year pass-catcher Khalil Shakir, who has flashed throughout his two professional seasons to the tune of 49 receptions for 772 yards and three touchdowns.
