5/30/24 The Ravens gave Rashod Bateman an extension, and now there's pressure on him to deliver. Bateman has had his moments during his three seasons with the Ravens, but injuries prevented him from making a consistent impact early on. “It shows that they believe in me, believe in my work, my ethic, the team believes in me,” Bateman said. The Ravens took Bateman in the first round in 2021 out of Minnesota.

5/29/24 Ravens WR Looks Like Next Star. Despite signing a contract extension earlier this offseason, it feels like a make-or-break year for Baltiomre Ravens receiver Rashod Bateman. A 2021 first-round pick out of Minnesota, Bateman was plagued by injuries throughout his first two seasons. With the Ravens having an out in his contract after this season, Bateman is under immense pressure to up his game. Throughout the first few days of OTAs, it seems like Bateman is indeed taking steps in the right direction.

4/27/24 Ravens' analytics and belief in Rashod Bateman are why they didn't take WR early in NFL draft. As the clock struck 11 p.m. Friday inside the Ravens' facility in Owings Mills and the third round of the NFL draft neared its conclusion in Detroit, general manager Eric DeCosta turned in the team's final selection of the day, pick No. 93 overall. “What you have to try to do in these situations is look at your needs and who's the best player available,” DeCosta said.

4/25/24 Grading the Ravens' three most recent drafts, from Rashod Bateman to Andrew Vorhees. Different drafts serve different purposes for the Ravens as they persist with their mission to contend every season. Last year, with no second-round pick and only six picks total, general manager Eric DeCosta went looking for bets that might pay off in 2024 or 2025. Did the Ravens get what they needed out of each draft? Bateman was a durable, productive pass catcher at Minnesota, praised for his attention to detail as a route runner and capable of busting free downfield.

2/27/24 Increased opportunities for Rashod Bateman in 2024. HC John Harbaugh expects a leap for Bateman

Ravens coach John Harbaugh is expecting a big season out of former first-round pick Rashod Bateman. "I think Rashod Bateman's going to take a big step," he said. "I think Rashad's going to get opportunities this year. He ran routes really well. He worked super hard." (Jamison Hensley on X)

FF Today's Take: This is the second time this off-season Harbaugh has mentioned more work for Bateman in 2024. With Odell Beckham Jr. a free agent, Bateman could easily assume a portion of his snaps assuming the veteran isn't resigned. Bateman's ceiling however seems to be capped given the running nature of the offense and receiving options Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews not going anywhere.
