8/12/24 Cardinals Could Demote Slugger To Make Room For Phenom, Per Insider. The St. Louis Cardinals need to do something right now. St. Louis is in the mix for a National League Wild Card spot but hasn't been as good since the 2024 Major League Baseball trade deadline as it hoped it would be. Young slugger Nolan Gorman hasn't performed as expected this season so the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Benjamin Hochman said. "With runners in scoring position, the Cards have the second-worst OPS in Major League Baseball (only the White Sox are worse)," Hochman said.

7/25/24 Insider Suggests Cardinals Could Trade Young Sluggers To Add Pitching. The St. Louis Cardinals need to find a way to add an impact-arm to the starting rotation over the next few days. St. Louis has been resilient all season and now has an inside track to a National League playoff spot. The Cardinals are a good team that is one frontline starter away from possibly being a great team down the stretch. The Cardinals' top priority over the next five days clearly will be adding pitching and The Athletic's Jim Bowden suggested the Seattle Mariners could be a great trade partner and mentioned Nolan Gorman and Alec Burleson as trade candidates.

6/29/24 Fantasy baseball: Braves' Reynaldo Lopez due for major regression. Commercial content 21+. There's nothing better than having a surprise party thrown for you. Someone thought of you enough to gather your closest friends and family for a night of merriment that (hopefully) starts by scaring you the second you walk in the door when they yell, “Surprise.” But what happens after the surprise? Though the party rages on, the excitement and high of that moment dies down. People eventually start to leave, and you're left with a room filled with empty glasses, tons of food and decorations to dispose of. Surprises don't last forever, which is why we have to get the most out of them while we can. More From Jarad Wilk Fantasy baseball: Nolan Gorman is one of the top flavors

6/13/24 Cardinals Slugger Surprisingly Seen As Option To Replace Yankees Fan-Favorite. The New York Yankees certainly will be one of the most active teams in baseball around the trade deadline. The Yankees have been fantastic this season and currently have a 49-21 record through 70 games. New York has a chance to compete for a World Series title this season but an addition or two around the trade deadline. The Yankees likely will be looking for ways to add more depth in the infield and The Athletic's Jim Bowden surprisingly mentioned St. Louis Cardinals second baseman Nolan Gorman as a possible target.

6/09/24 Cardinals look to shore up defense in finale vs. Rockies. While losing six of their last nine games, the St. Louis Cardinals have suffered a variety of fielding breakdowns. The visiting Colorado Rockies have capitalized while winning two of three games from St. Louis in their four-game weekend series. The Cardinals will try to clean up their play Sunday afternoon in the series finale. Throwing errors by Nolan Gorman and Ivan Herrera hurt St. Louis in its 6-5 loss to Colorado on Saturday, as did Dylan Carlson misplaying an Elehuris Montero fly ball into a double.

6/08/24 Nolan Gorman: Up-And-Coming Dynasty Player. If you consider yourself a knowledgeable dynasty league player, then you should not be asking yourself "who is this Nolan Gorman dude of the St. Louis Cardinals?" But if you are a newer dynasty baseball player, then you may be wondering about Gorman as he has slugged his way into the consciousness of many baseball fans. A left-handed hitter, Gorman entered the Top 100 prospects lists of Baseball America, MLB Pipeline and Baseball Prospectus in 2019. By the start of the 2022 season, he was ranked 34th by BA, 33rd by MLB and 28th by BP Gorman broke in with Cardinals in 2022, appearing in 89 games for the Redbirds and was a regular in the team's lineup last season as he played in 119 games. The second baseman is now in his third season with the Cardinals, so why do I consider him an up-and-coming dynasty player? Let's find out.

5/20/24 Cardinals slugger Michael Siani gets the laundry cart treatment after first big-league blast. Well, the Cardinals can chalk that contribution up as an unexpected, but welcomed revelation after Monday night at Busch Stadium. Siani drove in four runs in a 6-3 Cardinals win over the Orioles, doubling his previous career RBI total (two) in a single night. Siani produced the Cardinals' first run of the game on a seeing-eye base hit in the second inning after Nolan Gorman stole second base uncontested?—a theme of the night for the Cardinals as they went 4-for-4 on stolen base attempts.

5/05/24 Cardinals offense produced a 5-run inning but struggled late in clutch spots in 6-5 loss. Saturday gave the Cardinals plenty of reasons to walk away soaked and sour. Heavy rain and lightning halted play with two outs, the bases loaded and Cardinals second baseman Nolan Gorman at the plate facing reliever John Brebbia, a former Cardinals pitcher, with an 0-1 count. The game stopped at that point and the outcome hung in the balance as rain pummeled the field for the next three hours. When play resumed, the White Sox turned to left-handed reliever Tanner Banks and the Cardinals countered by pinch-hitting for Gorman with right-handed hitting backup catcher Ivan Herrera.
