9/27/24 Rangers end disappointing World Series follow-up year with series at Angels. For the Texas Rangers, it means a trip to The Big A in Anaheim to take on the Los Angeles Angels. The season didn't go according to plan for either team, for Texas, it meant being unable to follow up their first-ever World Series championship with a satisfying defense, but for Ron Washington's Angels, last place was not at all in the cards for the beleaguered franchise. Having lost Mike Trout early in the season for the rest of the year, in the season after Shohei Ohtani departed, the Angels were a mere shell of themselves.

9/26/24 Angels' Ron Washington backtracks after controversial comments go viral. It has been another frustrating season in Anaheim for the Los Angeles Angels. Mike Trout is dealing with an injury and the team has struggled overall. Angels manager Ron Washington recently made controversial comments about the team that drew the attention of the MLB world. “We're going to get some baseball players who may not be superstars, but they know how to play,” Washington said, via an article by Anthony De Leon in the Los Angeles Times that was published on Wednesday.

9/16/24 Angels’ Mike Trout open to changing positions in order to stay healthy. Trout, 33, says there will be conversations about a move to a corner outfield spot or DH next season. He missed most of the 2021, 2023 and 2024 seasons with injuries, so he’s open to whatever the teams feels is necessary to keep him in the lineup.

9/15/24 Angels' 3 early free agent targets in 2024 MLB offseason. The Los Angeles Angels are in the midst of another lost season, as the team is currently in last place of the AL West. Franchise icon Mike Trout is once again out for the season due to injury, and GM Perry Minasian needs to continue to try and build up the roster. The free agent market, which will be loaded with stars come this winter. Names such as New York Yankees outfielder Juan Soto and Baltimore Orioles starting pitcher Corbin Burnes headline this upcoming class, but there's plenty of star power to go around.

9/13/24 Brewers rookie Jackson Chourio, 20, becomes youngest member of MLB's 20-20 club. Chourio has bested Mike Trout and Vada Pinson in becoming the youngest in history to reach 20 homers and 20 stolen bases

8/21/24 Angels' Ben Joyce sparks buzz after three straight 103 MPH+ pitches vs. Bobby Witt Jr.. Many Los Angeles Angels fans were optimistic about the hiring of manager Ron Washington, but they did not have any grand illusions about the team earning an improbable playoff berth this year. The city of Anaheim braced itself for pain, a routine it is unfortunately all too familiar with following a near-decade of losing seasons. With Mike Trout missing nearly the entire campaign, 2024 is about one thing, and one thing only– the future. Zach Neto and Logan O'Hoppe are looking to solidify themselves as potential pillars with their respective solid years, but there is a pitcher who is drawing considerable attention across the league right now.

8/10/24 Angels' Mike Trout gets new injury timeline after surgery. Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout is once again dealing with a significant injury and rehab process. Trout recently tore his meniscus while on a Minor League rehab assignment for a torn meniscus in the same knee that he previously injured earlier this season. Luckily for Trout and the Angels, the latest update on the three-time MVP and 11-time All-Star's injury is about as positive as it could be at this stage. Trout underwent successful surgery on his left knee to repair the torn meniscus on Wednesday and is expected to be ready for Spring Training, the Angels announced on Friday.

8/08/24 Angels vs. Yankees Prediction, Odds, Probable Pitchers for Thursday, Aug. 8 (Fade Nestor Cortes). The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels split a doubleheader on Wednesday, and they'll play the series finale of their three-game set on Thursday night at Yankee Stadium. New York is in a tie with the Baltimore Orioles for first place in the American League East, and it would love a win on Thursday against an Angels team that is way out of the playoff picture with Mike Trout done for the season. Nestor Cortes Jr. gets the ball for the Yankees in this one against fellow lefty Tyler Anderson, and the Yankees are heavily favored at home. Let's break down the odds, probable pitchers and my best bet for Thursday's contest. Angels vs. Yankees Odds, Run Line and Total Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook.

8/02/24 Trout needs second surgery for torn meniscus. Angels star Mike Trout needs a second surgery for a torn meniscus in his left knee, ending another injury-marred campaign for the three-time MVP. Trout said Thursday in a social media post that an MRI revealed the new meniscus tear. Trout batted .220 with 10 homers and 14 RBIs in 29 games this season for the Angels, who are fourth in the AL West with little chance at a playoff berth. “It's unfortunate what has happened again, but no doubt he has a chance to get that leg extremely well and he doesn't have to have anything on his mind but getting ready for February,” Angels manager Ron Washington said.
