7/04/24 Michael Wacha tosses 6 solid innings, Salvador Perez drives in 2 as the Royals beat the Rays 4-2. Michael Wacha allowed one run on two hits over six innings, Salvador Perez drove in a pair of runs and the Royals held on to beat the Rays 4-2 on Wednesday night. James McArthur left runners on second and third to end the eighth inning, then came back for the ninth and watched Kyle Isbel make a great defensive play to pick up his 15th save. Wacha walked three and struck out eight, and the only run he allowed came on Isaac Paredes’ homer in the first. It was his eighth consecutive start allowing two earned runs or fewer. Bobby Witt Jr. and Vinnie Pasquantino also drove in runs to push Kansas City to its AL-leading 31st home win. Ryan Pepiot allowed two runs on four his over four innings to take the loss for Tampa Bay.

7/03/24 Michael Wacha's strong start again leads Royals over Rays. Michael Wacha tossed six strong innings, leading the Kansas City Royals to a 4-2 win over the visiting Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night. After Isaac Paredes' two-out solo homer, his 14th, put the Rays ahead in the first, Wacha permitted just one other hit while finishing six innings, walking three with eight strikeouts to earn his first win since May 20. It was the 43rd quality start by Kansas City pitchers, third-most in the majors.

6/27/24 Royals rally for 2-1 win vs. Guardians. In perhaps their biggest series yet, the Kansas City Royals got production from two of their weakest areas this season. The Royals relied on their maligned bullpen and outfield to pull out a 2-1 comeback victory over the Cleveland Guardians at Kauffman Stadium. In the sixth inning, the Royals were at a critical juncture. Starting pitcher Michael Wacha had left two runners on base before departing the game.
