6/15/24 | Braves stress optimism despite Michael Harris injury, slow start. If one had been stranded on an island for about five years and just returned to civilization during the 2024 MLB season, they would probably not be too alarmed by how the Atlanta Braves (37-30) are playing. After all, the team ranks in the top half in most offensive categories and holds the top position in the National League Wild Card standings. The Braves' bats were historically relentless in 2023, totaling 307 home runs, a .276 batting average, .501 slugging percentage and .845 OPS. Every batter except for the slumping Adam Duvall recorded a hit (12 total), as they reminded the home crowd how lethal a team this can be when it is scattering the ball all over the field. 6/12/24 | Streaking Orioles seek to sweep slumping Braves. The Baltimore Orioles have looked nearly unbeatable in recent weeks. It's the opposite for the Atlanta Braves, who are dealing with their biggest slump of the season. "This is a group that one way or another is going to figure out a way to turn the tide, to end up getting the job done," Atlanta outfielder Adam Duvall said. The Orioles have won a season-high six games in a row and 16 of their past 20 games going into Thursday afternoon's series finale against the visiting Braves. 6/06/24 | Marcell Ozuna's NL-leading 18th home run helps Braves rally past Nationals, 5-2. Adam Duvall homered in the seventh inning for Atlanta, which has won three of four. Rookie Mitchell Parker took a no-hitter into the sixth for Washington, which has dropped four in a row and scored just six runs over its last three games. The Braves took the lead against Washington reliever Hunter Harvey (2-2). Ozzie Albies doubled into the corner in right, then came around when Riley lined a single to center to make it 3-2.
