Crawford and first baseman Ty France walked through the clubhouse burning a couple of bundles of sage to "cleanse" each teammate's locker, the Seattle Mariners' offense finally ignited. Crawford's three-run double with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning Thursday broke a tie as the American League West-leading Mariners snapped a four-game skid with a 7-3 victory against visiting Baltimore. Seattle will open a three-game home series with 1977 expansion brethren Toronto on Friday night. Julio Rodriguez snapped out of a 3-for-38 slump with a double and a homer, and Mitch Garver also went deep for the Mariners, who were limited to one run on seven hits in losing the first two games of the series to the AL East-leading Orioles. Crawford a surprise after he was tossed from Wednesday's game. A high-strike zone call frustrated J.P. Crawford which resulted in the umpire tossing him from the game against the Cleveland Guardians. Manager Scott Servais was also tossed after arguing with the umpire over the call. Longtime Mariners fan Jonathan Jick was watching the game from home and decided to do something to show support for J.P. after what many are calling an unfair call.
