5/21/24 Blue Jays face White Sox, see chance for rare series win. The Toronto Blue Jays have a chance to win their first series in a month Tuesday night when they resume a three-game set against the visiting Chicago White Sox. With Danny Jansen leading the way with five RBIs, the Blue Jays defeated the White Sox 9-3 Monday afternoon in the series opener. The Blue Jays have not won a series since April 19-21, when they took two of three games from the host San Diego Padres. The White Sox have lost four in a row after being swept by the host New York Yankees in a three-game series over the weekend.

5/20/24 Danny Jansen drives in five, Blue Jays overpower White Sox. Danny Jansen went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run and five RBIs, Daulton Varsho also had a two-run homer and the Toronto Blue Jays defeated the visiting Chicago White Sox 9-3 Monday afternoon. Bo Bichette was 4-for-4 with three doubles and an RBI for Toronto in the opener of a three-game series. Paul DeJong was 3-for-4 with a solo home run and an RBI single for the White Sox, who have lost four straight.

5/18/24 Rays' Tyler Alexander comes within 5 outs of perfect game against Blue Jays. The Toronto Blue Jays’ Danny Jansen broke up a perfect game bid by the Tampa Bay Rays’ Tyler Alexander when he blooped an opposite-field single with one out in the eighth inning. Alexander retired his first 22 batters before Jansen hit a 1-0 changeup near the low, outside corner off the end of his bat. The ball landed cleanly 206 feet from the plate, between right fielder Josh Lowe and second baseman Richie Palacios. The single came on Alexander’s 97th pitch. Dave Schenider homered two pitches later, cutting Toronto’s deficit to 4-2, and Daulton Varsho singled on Alexander’s 105th and final pitch.
