7/04/24 Mets Should Go After Intriguing Former Starter to Aid Bullpen at Trade Deadline. The New York Mets may have to get creative when trying to upgrade their bullpen at the trade deadline later this month. While they will surely call around regarding top late-inning relievers such as Miami Marlins closer Tanner Scott, they aren't in a position to sell-off top prospects this year. Chicago White Sox starter turned reliever, Michael Kopech, has had a bit of a rough season, but is turning things around as of late.

7/02/24 Yankees Reportedly Have 'Expressed Interest' In Acquiring Rising Star. Chatter only is going to pick up now with the 2024 Major League Baseball trade deadline quickly approaching. The trade deadline will be here before we know it and it's certain that the New York Yankees will look different afterward. Rumors have been swirling left and right about who the Yankees might add and one player who has had their name tossed around on numerous occasions is Miami Marlins star reliever Tanner Scott. The veteran lefty has been one of the best relievers in all of baseball this season and it seems like an absolute certainty that he will be traded because of the fact that the Marlins seem to be nearing a rebuild and Scott won't be around for the long-term.

7/01/24 Phillies, Yankees, Dodgers reportedly battling for popular trade prospect. Currently, in last place in the National League East, the Miami Marlins are ready for a rebuild. Fortunately, relief pitcher Tanner Scott has become one of the most popular trade prospects across Major League Baseball. According to Will Sammon, Patrick Mooney, and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Yankees, and Baltimore Orioles have all "expressed some level of interest" in the left-handed closer.

7/01/24 MLB rumors: Yankees, Dodgers among powerhouses interested in Tanner Scott trade. With only less than a month to go before the 2024 MLB trade deadline passes, the pressure is on for contending teams to make some final touches to their roster as they prepare to push for a World Series trophy. Contending teams can never have enough quality arms coming out of the bullpen, and it's looking like the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are eyeing an upgrade to their pen in the form of Miami Marlins reliever Tanner Scott. With the Marlins having already traded away Luis Arraez amid another lost season (they are currently sporting a 30-54 record at the time of writing), it's a “virtual certainty” that Scott won't be donning a Marlins uniform past July 30, as per Will Sammon, Patrick Mooney and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic.

6/27/24 Stacked closer market could draw Yankees interest ahead of MLB trade deadline. It'll be a sellers' market with demand generally outweighing supply, but there should be several solid or better closers available. Though the weakest teams don't have many great starters, they do have closers. The top guys: 1. Tanner Scott, Marlins: The veteran lefty is on a roll. The Phillies, Orioles, Yankees and Dodgers are thought to be interested, as are many others. Tanner Scott could be a bullpen option for teams to pursue ahead of the trade deadline. AP 2. Mason Miller, A's: Oakland isn't anxious to trade him with five more years of control. 3. Garrett Crochet, White Sox: The reliever-turned-starter is drawing huge interest, and teams that worry about his innings could convert him to
