| 6/02/24 | Red Sox make 5 roster moves: Western Mass. native promoted (1st MLB stint). BOSTON — The Red Sox recalled Bobby Dalbec and selected Jamie Westbrook from Triple-A Worcester on Sunday. They placed both Vaughn Grissom (right hamstring strain) and Romy Gonzalez (left hamstring strain) on the 10-day injured list. Boston also transferred Garrett Whitlock (elbow) to the 60-day IL to make room for Westbrook on the 40-man roster. The 28-year-old Westbrook, a native of Holyoke, batted .267 with a .364 on-base percentage, .436 slugging percentage, .800 OPS, five homers, 13 doubles, 25 runs and 29 RBIs in 49 games (198 plate appearances) for Worcester this season.
