Raleigh hit an infield grounder to Twins reliever Cole Sands (2-1), who threw home to try to keep J.P. Crawford from scoring. The throw sailed high to the backstop, and Crawford was safe. It was the fourth career walk-off for Raleigh, and his second this season. Carlos Correa put the Twins ahead with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Cal Raleigh smashed a two-out, three-run homer in the sixth inning as the Seattle Mariners closed out a disappointing nine-game road swing with a 5-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday afternoon in St. Petersburg, Fla. Raleigh's 14th of the season, walloped 422 feet off reliever Shawn Armstrong (2-2), put Seattle out front for good, 3-1. The Seattle Mariners have brought back one of the most popular promotions in franchise history, celebrating the 30th anniversary of “Buhner Buzz Cut” night in honor of former outfielder Jay Buhner. And one current player was excited to take part. Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh jumped at the chance to be the one current player to get his head buzzed. Buhner was back as well to take part in an event that first started in 1994 but hadn't been held since 2001. More than 19,000 fans had previously taken part.
