6/19/24 | Rockies reinstate OF Bouchard from injured list. The Colorado Rockies reinstated outfielder Sean Bouchard from the 10-day injured list on Wednesday. Bouchard, 28, has been out since he sprained his right ankle during a June 5 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. The Rockies optioned infielder/outfielder Greg Jones to Triple-A Albuquerque to make room on the roster. Jones, 26, made his major league debut on June 6 and went 1-for-5 with one home run in six games. Source: https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/40388754/color... |
2/19/24 | Rockies hope right fielder Sean Bouchard provides steady production to lackluster lineup. Here's an obscure, little-known fact that only a baseball fanatic can appreciate: In 2022, Rockies outfielder Sean Bouchard posted a .454 on-base percentage in 27 games, the fifth-highest by a major league rookie since 1901 (minimum 95 plate appearances). Here's what: Bouchard's solid at-bats, ability to get on base and occasional power make him the favorite to win the starting job in right field this season. The Rockies desperately need steady production in their lineup. A lot of Colorado's young hitters — Brenton Doyle, Elehuris Montero and Michael Toglia, in particular — still have big holes in their offense.
