| 6/17/24 | Dodgers Wanted Miguel Vargas To Work On Defense In Triple-A. Playing time was scarce for Vargas as he only played in eight games since being called up on May 17. Vargas has shown enough with the bat to warrant a bigger role, but the missing piece holding him back from receiving consistent playing time this season had to do with his defense and lack of experience in the outfield. In the top of the sixth, with Los Angeles ahead 2-0, Vargas blasted an inner-half sinker from Mets lefty Jose Quintana over the left field fence for a solo home run that extended LA's lead to 3-0.
