6/12/24 Toronto Blue Jays' Davis Schneider has always been an All-Star in the eyes of his sisters. Now, they want to make it official. Madeline Schneider never actually saw the moment her little brother hit a home run during his first-ever MLB at-bat last summer. “It was that time of day at Fenway Park when the sun makes it so you can't really see the ball,” Schneider told CTV New Toronto in an interview alongside her sister Olivia over the weekend. When the announcers called the home run for Toronto Blue Jays' Davis Schneider, the joy came rushing in. The home run would be the first of many to come for Schneider, 25, since joining the Blue Jays' roster last August.

6/09/24 [The Score] - Jays' Kikuchi levels A's Soderstrom trying to avoid pop-up at dugout. Of course one of the most bizarre plays of the season happened at the Oakland Coliseum. In the top of the 10th inning of Sunday's game between the Athletics and Toronto Blue Jays, Toronto's Davis Schneider lifted a pop-up toward the visiting dugout. A's first baseman Tyler Soderstrom had a beat on it thanks to the Coliseum's vast foul territory until Blue Jays pitcher Yusei Kikuchi accidentally flattened Soderstrom while trying to get out of the way.The umpire called Schneider out because of Kikuchi's obstruction, meaning the play was officially scored as a pop-up to the first baseman. Soderstrom remained in the game, and it appeared as though Kikuchi was no worse for wear in the dugout. The incident almost devolved into something bigger: Words appeared to be exchanged between the two teams. Several Blue Jays were on the top steps of their dugout before umpires restored order. Tempers flared after Tyler Soderstrom collided with a member of the Blue Jays near the visitor's dugout ?? pic.twitter.com/hfplwA3m9G— A's on NBCS (@NBCSAthletics) June 9, 2024 A microphone also caught someone - it was unclear whether it was a fan or a member of the Blue Jays - heckling Oakland pitcher Austin Adams after the play. Had a good chuckle at the A’s fan yelling at Austin Adams during the Kikichi/Soderstrom stuff. pic.twitter.com/8t4JGuy3S9— Kevin Michie (@KevinMichie) June 9, 2024 After the chaos died down, Adams eventually got the third out of the inning, but it was too little too late for the A's. Earlier in the 10th, Toronto's Isiah Kiner-Falefa hit a bases-clearing double to give the Blue Jays a 6-4 victory.

6/05/24 Chicago White Sox keep making wrong kind of history: 12-game skid is 1 off single-season franchise record. The Chicago White Sox were an out away from a clean second inning on May 22 in Toronto. But Blue Jays second baseman Davis Schneider drove in two runs with a single. Daulton Varsho knocked in two more with a triple. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. followed with an RBI single. And Bo Bichette hit a two-run home run. In the blink of an eye, the Sox were in a seven-run hole. They never recovered, falling ...
