4/04/24 O's look to jump-start offense against Pirates. Half of Baltimore's four wins came on walk-off hits, but the Orioles will hope for some early offense when they open a three-game series with the host Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday. James McCann was Baltimore's latest hero, ripping a two-run single to left in the bottom of the ninth to lift the Orioles to a 4-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals on Wednesday. Jordan Westburg provided the late-game heroics two nights earlier, clubbing a walk-off, two-run blast. Games have been coming down to the wire because of an offensive lull that has seen Baltimore manage a total of 12 runs over its past four contests.

4/03/24 McCann has 2-out, 2-run single in 9th, Orioles emerge from 5-hour rain delay to beat Royals 4-3. James McCann hit a two-out, two-run single in the ninth inning and the Baltimore Orioles emerged from a five-hour rain delay to beat the Kansas City Royals 4-3 on Wednesday night. Baltimore trailed 3-0 before scoring twice in the eighth against the Kansas City bullpen, which wasted a masterful performance by starter Cole Ragans. It was 3-2 in the ninth when Royals closer Will Smith (0-2) walked Ryan Mountcastle and gave up a single to Anthony Santander.
